Elizabeth Arden
This company is famous for its cosmetics and perfumes as well as some delightful powder compacts.  These compacts are both made in Switzerland.
This is a lovely watch-winder compact with a very intriguing mechanism and a screw-in section in the bottom to hold the powder in place.  Juliette discusses this at length in her Miller's Guide on P.17.  This compact has a different pattern on the lid and it is very bright.  It looks brand new but was made in the 1960s.  The puff is present and it measures just over 2.5" in diameter.  It is in perfect condition.
A modern compact in a matt gold finish with embossed flowers and a central blue stone in each.  Metal-rimmed mesh, it is in unused condition and complete with black pouch and original box.
A  lovely neat little compact with embossed flower design to front and back, nice fabric puff and black carrying pouch.  Super condition. I bought this from an antiques shop while on holiday in Wales and couldn't believe my luck when the dealer said it was only 3.00!!  I have since seen this compact priced at 23.00.
